Full job description
1. Sourcing and Procurement:
· Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for coco pith.
· Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best prices and quality.
· Ensure a consistent and timely supply of coco pith to meet production needs.
2. Vendor Management:
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
· Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies promptly.
· Conduct regular supplier assessments and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
3. Inventory Management:
· Monitor inventory levels and forecast procurement needs.
· Coordinate with the production and warehouse teams to manage stock levels efficiently.
· Implement strategies to minimize inventory costs and avoid shortages or excess stock.
4. Quality Assurance:
· Ensure that all procured coco pith meets the company’s quality standards.
· Work closely with the quality control team to resolve any quality issues.
5. Cost Management:
· Analyze market trends and price fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions.
· Implement cost-saving strategies and negotiate favorable terms to reduce procurement costs.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
· Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements.
· Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance.
7. Compliance and Ethics:
· Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and ethical standards.
· Adhere to legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
Preferred candidate profile:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the agricultural or manufacturing sector.
3. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
4. Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
5. Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Knowledge of quality assurance processes and standards.
