Quality Control Manager
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the quality assurance functions for all bedding textile products such as bed sheets, quilts, pillowcases, comforters, mattress protectors, and other home linen items. The role ensures that all products meet internal quality standards and customer specifications, while complying with industry and buyer compliance norms.
Key Responsibilities:1. Quality Planning & Standards Implementation
- Develop and implement quality control systems and SOPs for the bedding textile production process.
- Define quality standards for raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods in line with buyer requirements.
- Ensure all inspections (raw fabric, in-line, end-line, and final) are carried out as per AQL and buyer protocols.
2. Inspections & Testing
- Oversee physical and visual inspection of fabrics (grey and finished), trims, accessories, sewing, stuffing, quilting, and packing stages.
- Approve pre-production samples and top-of-production (TOP) samples.
- Conduct root cause analysis for rejections, defects, and customer complaints.
3. Team & Vendor Management
- Lead the QA/QC team in checking processes across the factory and outsourced units (stitching, quilting, embroidery, etc.).
- Train quality checkers and production staff on defect prevention, stitching standards, seam strength, label/care tag accuracy, and more.
- Liaise with vendors/suppliers for resolving quality concerns in outsourced activities.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily and weekly inspection reports.
- Ensure traceability and documentation as per buyer audit requirements and standards (like ISO, GOTS, Oeko-Tex).
5. Buyer Coordination & Audits
- Coordinate with merchandising/compliance teams to understand buyer quality expectations.
- Face buyer QA representatives and third-party inspectors during inline/final inspections.
- Ensure corrective actions are closed on time post audit or inspection feedback.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Textile Engineering / Quality Management / Apparel Production.
- 6–10 years of experience in quality control for bedding or home textile products.
- Strong understanding of international buyer quality norms
- Good communication skills to coordinate with production, merchandising, and buyers.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹50,000.00 – ₹70,000.00 per month
